General notes, tips and tricks
Read this complete manual before starting installation. This will give you a better understanding of where to place the different components and the relation between them. The manual covers the components (PV- and PO-numbers) in numerical order, but this is not necessarily the easiest order of installation.
Refer to the Boom installation broad acre manual for information on how to install the boom parts.
Reminder: BBLeap prescribes a 100-mesh pressure filter.
The spray valves are very sensitive for damage by sharp particles. Make sure the whole system is properly flushed before starting installation. Flush the system again after removing old valves or membrane shut-offs and before installing the BBLeap valves. Otherwise sediment from chemicals that has come loose will damage the valves.
The installation of PV-0002, PV-0003 and PV-0005 might require the fabrication of custom made brackets or panels. These are not supplied by BBLeap. Make sure to organize these parts in time.
Regarding cable installation: first route the cables roughly and connect them according to the schematics. Only start tying them neatly after the ''dry'' part of commissioning has been done. This way progress in installation can be made sooner and critical commissioning/testing steps can be made sooner as well. Cable tying can be done afterwards or when you need to wait for whatever reason. Same applies for cables on the boom.

Note: Before starting installation, make sure the centrifugal pump and it's hydraulic components are in good condition. This is crucial for proper regulation of the pressure and application rate.
Run the pump with cold and warm hydraulic oil and at low and high pressure, both when spraying and when not spraying. The flow and pressure should be constant.

PV-0001-IF-0028 - Interface Machine - IO
This topic is regarding the power supply and the integration with the isobus.
Power supply
Use cable DR0093C_1 to take power from the machine batteries to the Can charger as shown on the schematics. Connectors X5 and X6 can be plugged in between one of the ports of the Can charger and the corresponding cable. Secure the relay.
Isobus
On John Deere self propelled sprayers the task controller will always give priority to the JD spray rate controller and there is no possibility to add a second device. This means the LeapBox can not be configured for section control.
This can be solved by adding a second display with TC function on a separate isobus with the LeapBox. Connect it separately to the Greenstar gps receiver via RS232. Make sure GGA, VTG and RMC messages are activated on the Greenstar. The speed is fixed at 19K2 @5Hz.
Plug the 4-pin deutsch connector of the JD isobus wiring loom to the Can splitter.
Run a CA3 cable from the can splitter to the Isobus IN port on the I/O interface module.
Put a blind plug in the third port of the Can splitter
Put a termination resistor in the Isobus End port on the I/O interface module.
Note: add picture of where to find the 4-pin deutsch connector of the JD isobus wiring loom
PV-1002-MA-0001 - After Market Box
The following items are pre-assembled in the After Market Box:

Install the After Market Box on the right side of the cabin, according to the picture below.
The ports on the I/O front module should be plugged according to the following table, always use the schematics as reference:

PO-0045-MA-000. - Pressure measurement
Install the pressure sensor in the main spray line, close to the valves. Make sure it is pointing down or horizontally positioned, so no liquid can stay in. Connect it to the IN-1 port on the rear I/O module, next to the LeapCore, according to the schematics.
Note: the fittings supplied by BBLeap are general fittings. There might be need to add fittings for your specific machine
Note: Make sure the pressure sensor is pointing downwards, so no moisture will stay in.
PO-0046-MA-0016 - Flow measurement
The LeapBox will use it's own flow meter. This one has to be installed in series with the original John Deere flow meter. Connect the flowmeter to IN-3 of the I/O interface module according to the schematics.
Note: for High Flow systems a 40 mm hose tail will be needed
PO-0047-MA-0024 - Pressure regulation
The pressure regulation is done by pwm control of the centrifugal pump. The LeapBox will take over the control at all times.
Locate the pump solenoid
Unplug the original cable
Install cable CA86 between the pump solenoid and OUT-2 on the I/O interface module, according to the schematics.
PO-0049-MA-0006 - Section/main Switch
The LeapBox is capable of using the master signal from the John Deere. This means the master of the LeapBox can be switched by pressing the master button on the joystick.
Therefore a 12V master signal has to be found somewhere on the machine, either from a wiring loom or at the main valve. Connect cable DR0037_3 in between. Plug the other side in at IN-4 on the I/O interface module, according to the schematics.
Note: this has not been done yet on a previous installation, so the location where to find the signal still has to be found.
PO-0050-MA-0009 - Main valve control
In case the boom will be converted to a circulation system (ring line), the LeapBox will control the main valve, so the 3-way valve that switches between circulation mode or spraying mode.
The 3-way valve needs to be a 3-wire controlled valve. This valve is not included in the LeapBox kit. Examples of a 3-way valve:

Connect the 3-way by using cable DR0116D_1 to OUT-4 (signal) and Can6.1 (power) according to the schematics.
Connector X1 of DR0116D_1, which has to be connected to the main valve, is pinned as follows:

When installing the 3-way valve, make sure it is in circulation mode when the valve is not receiving signal. When the signal is active, it should be in spraying mode.
Additional notes - boom installation
Note: this section is only covering the specific topics of the boom installation for this machine. For the general instructions refer to the Boom installation broad acre manual
High flow systems are equipped with 1'' pipes. The John Deere nozzle bodies are not suitable to use in combination with the BBLeap valves. Therefore they have to be replaced by Arag 3-way nozzle bodies. However, with 17 mm diameter the opening (outlet) of the pipes is bigger than usual. Therefor TeeJet adapter seals have to be installed to reduce the diameter of the opening. TeeJet part CP98488-VI.
When the boom is not converted to a circulation system, the section valves will stay in place, but have to be taken out of order. This prevents the valves of accidentally being shut by the operator manually or through the terminal.
Remove the motor from the valve. This will not give any fault messages.
Put a blind plug on the cable.
Manually put the ball of the valve in open position, as shown on the picture below. Indicated by the slot hole in line with the direction of flow.
Repeat for each section valves.
Commissioning - Setting the machine specific configuration
Note: This section will describe which steps have to be done to set the right configuration for this specific machine model. For all other configuration settings, refer to the checklist and corresponding manuals via LeapSpace.
Always use the checklist in LeapSpace as the step-by-step guide. It will refer to this manual when needed. After completing a step, continue with the checklist.

Configure liquid system flow measurement and pressure regulation
The pressure regulation is done by pwm control of the centrifugal pump. The LeapBox will take over the control at all times.
Go to [Config -> Liquid]
[Flow meter]: Enter the pulses per 10 liters.
Note: The flowmeter pulses to be entered in the webvisu are pulses per 10 liters. Compare the flow shown on the BBLeap VT with the flow shown on the John Deere VT. Also check the actual flow and correct the value if needed.
[Type]: Set the pressure regulation type to [Pump]
[Regulate]: Set regulate to [Always]
[Hystereses]: is the dead zone, the pressure regulation will not kick in when the pressure is in this zone.
Standard value for the JD 4730: 100 mbar
[PWM Min / Max]: Set the PWM Min as high as possible. This will minimize the pressure drop after the master is activated. The value for PWM Min can be found by spraying a low flow at low pressure.
Standard value for the JD 4730: 350 prm PWM min
Standard value for the JD 4730: 730 prm PWM max
[Gain]: This is the maximum of prm added or extracted each cycle. So in this case, set at 2 prm, it will only go (from 589) to 587 or 591 in one cycli. This is one the setting to play with to finetune the pressure regulation. If your pressure regulation is (way) too slow, raise this setting. If your pressure regulation is too fast (nervous), lower this value. A typical gain is in the range of 2 to 6 prm.
Standard value for the JD 4730: 4 prm
[Gain Range]: This is how proportional the pressure regulation is. So it will only ad or subtract the full gain (2 in this case) if the difference between actual pressure and set pressure is more then 5 bar. For further information, see Notion. (BBLeap personell only)
Standard value for the JD 4730: 40 dbar
