As-applied data is a critical tool for modern agriculture

Updated over 9 months ago

What are as-applied maps and how to use it?

As-applied maps refer to detailed records of agricultural inputs such as liquid fertilizers and crop protection products. This data includes precise information on the rates, timings, and locations of sprayings with BBLeap machines.

This as-sprayed data is crucial in precision agriculture because it ensures that inputs are applied correctly, according to the plan, and provides a verifiable record for compliance with regulations. It allows you as farmer also to analyse the effectiveness of past spraying efforts to plan future applications.

As-applied data as proof for eco-activities in CAP

In the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) for 2024 of the European Commission precision applications for crop protection and fertilization will count within the eco-activities, which determines how high the subsidy is for farmers and fruit growers. As proof of the application, growers must have a task map or an as-applied map.
